Lovers of nature, mountains and skiing in particular, we discovered Les Arcs 1800 in 2014 during a family holiday in the neighboring resort of Peisey-Vallandry. We immediately fell under the spell of its exceptional belvedere location, bathed in sunshine all day, at the ideal altitude, and its ski area offering both the most challenging slopes and inspiring forest walks, sheltered from the elements. We were enchanted by the exceptional views over the valley, by the unspoilt natural setting of the Vanoise, and by the "pioneering spirit" of Les Arcs, of which the avant-garde architecture of the 1960s is the most singular expression. We then saw an acceleration in the resort's development, with the launch of a number of resolutely upmarket real estate developments, and major infrastructure investments by the town of Bourg St Maurice. When the opportunity arose to invest in a spacious, ski-in/ski-out chalet in the best location in Les Arcs, with a breathtaking, uninterrupted view of the Gulf and the ski area, we didn't hesitate for long.
